"-이" and "-는" together = "-이는" ??? & meaning of "띄우다"
술 없이는 난 살 수가 없어
술 잔 위에 너를 띄우고 눈물로 다시 너를 지워
1st sentence:
- why "-이" and "-는" are used together?
- would it be that they carry meanings other than just playing as particles?
2nd sentence:
- exact meaning of "띄우다" in this sentence.

The first sentence, 없이는, by putting 는, it emphasize the whole sentence meaning that "I just can't live without the alcohol". You can equally say,술없이 난 살 수가 없어.But by saying 없이는 making whole lot stronger statement.
Second phrase, 띄우다 meaning "put on" in poetic expressing in this sentence. Whole expression in poetic meaning that " I put you on the glass(that you are having) and erase you by my tears... in this context, the one can't do anything without the alcohol to forget the broken heart.
