i think it is situation comedy= Sitcom :)
it is a funny television program in which the same characters appear in different situations each week.

sitcom is short for SITuational COMedy.
It is a type of comedy on tv and radio which is set around the house or work. eg. seinfield, 2 and a half men, modern family, the big bang theory. It is the most popular form of comedy on TV.
