It's quite subjective but what I can guarantee is that learning how to write in Hangul can be relatively straightforward compared to Chinese. :) If you google that you'll find a defined set of characters, their pronunciations/romanizations. Grammar rules can be direct but there are many ways of saying certain things just like in other languages. That you might find challenging. Rest assured Korean language has its own patterns just like any other language. English language may have the word "in" preposition, Korean language may represent that word using locative particle '에'. There are lots and lots of it... I'm only in my beginner stage and I have a notebook to jot down new words and grammar technicalities. Whether Korean language hard, I can't really tell because, like I said, it is subjective. I guess with an organized and systematic way of learning plus perseverance, you'll find yourself eventually picking up the language bits by bits until you somewhat can form a sentence of your own. Next thing you know, you need not read subtitles of the Korean dramas you watch... Well as for me, I still have a long way to go but I do recognize a handful of expressions. :)
