When I think of turnover, I think of jobs. Certain jobs have what's called a "High turnover rate." These are usually low paid jobs (retail industry for example) that people only stay a short time on the job before quitting or getting fired. Turning over means other people (usually desperate for a job) will just take the place of those who quit of get fired from these low paying jobs with little hope for advancement.

In basketball, when you end up doing something (e.g. bad pass, travel, or double dribble) that causes the other team to get the ball.

Turnover 就是那個意思，營業額。一家公司或一個東西的銷路的所得到的利益, profits. Ex: "In an effort to maximize product turnover, we need to do X and X." 為何叫做turnover呢？Turnover顧名思義就是“翻過來”的意思。你先要投資你的錢，以後可以得到利益。我就是這麼覺得 Turnover也有樓上所說的意思^^^ 我忘記了哈哈
