We are developing some radios, we use "MAX" to replace "maximum", in this way, which word can be used to replace " select"?

Select, as in "choose" can be shortened to a simple SEL. That's the most common for both technological abbreviations, as well as military.
I know "execute" is popular with computers, which means to activate. As such, you could use EXE. I don't think that would translate well, however. Certainly not for a radio.
