Una TV. TV stands for "televisione", it is feminine, hence una televisione = una TV. in Italian some appliances are feminine, some are masculine.

la parola piu` corretta e` /televisore/, in quanto /televisione/ ha anche
il significato di /azienda televisiva/ (television firm);
si usa sia /la tv/, che /il tv/ proprio per questo;
/televisore/ e` un termine NON ambiguo.
/televisione/ necessita del contesto per togliere l'ambiguita`
