I just recently tutored a Russian student who told me about New Year's traditional dinners in Russia! I had never heard of them. We don't have anything special for dinner on New Year's Eve here in the US, and sometimes we don't have a special dinner at all. Usually New Year's Eve is a time to go out to parties and spend the night out, and countdown to midnight. Then we kiss our loved one(s) and drink champagne, toasting to the new year! =) What do you plan to make?

It`s interesting and funny....and strange a little)))) you know: "What? There is no dinner? and no celebratory feast?How can it be?"))))))) However, winter weather in Russia will not give you a long walk, you`ll freeze. I`ll make a mutton stewed with vegetables, a couple of salads, a little snacks, and also vegetables, fruits and cakes. That`s the plan) And I want to write an essay about as we usually celebrate the new year in Russia. I`ll do it later!!!
