Sometimes it looks like an adjective, but it's definitely a verb.^^' \^o^/

맞다 is a verb and has the following meanings. 1. To be correct, To be right 너의 말이 맞다 (Your words are correct; therefore, you're correct). 2. To be hit, To be struck 어제 공에 맞았어요 (I was hit by a ball yesterday). 오늘 비 맞았어요 (I was struck by rain today). 3. To greet, To receive 새해를 프랑스에서 맞이했어요. (I greeted the new year in France; therefore, I started the new year in France) 4. To suit, To fit 이 드레스는 나한테 안맞아요 (This dress doesn't fit me). In my opinion, 맞다 is a verb, and only Naver dictionary got it right. You can make 맞다 adjective by dropping the verb ending ~다 and adding 은/는. i.e. 맞다 to 맞는.
