"Everyone" agrees that No. 1 is correct English.
But is No. 2 also grammatically justifiable?
If it is, what is the difference in meaning?

I think the second one is not acceptable grammatically, it seems fine to me though. I am not native, please let me know if the second one is wrong. I am a teacher and I wouldn't like to teach wrong.
What is your opinion as a native? Go to your bed, it is too late to think about it.:)
