What is the difference between 青 and 绿色?
Do they both mean green?
When would you use each one? Can I have an example?

Hi~
we seldom use the adjective 青. 青 is the color of Cyan.
An example: 青山绿水 (which means beautiful landscape)
绿色 is exactly green. When you describe the color of leaves, clothes, eyes, green technology etc. etc., 绿色 would be much much better than 青, since a lot of people do not know what color 青 is.

至於青椒是品種名稱 可以說成黃色的青椒 或紅色的青椒 此理與 "為甚麼小白菜長大後還是小白菜" 同 因為"大白菜"和"小白菜" 都是品種名稱
