a bound, marbleized notebook
What are they?
The sentence from a kind of psychology.
Every student have to submit a notebook --- a bound, marbleized notebook.
I couldn't find the fit-meaning of bound, and no word "marbleized" in my dictionary.
Thank you for your help.
If possible, please give me some example sentences.

Hi Mog1mog-san, ah - you have to be an American to understand what a "bound, marbleized notebook" is. It is the most common style of composition book in the United States (well, at least when I was a student). It is bound by glue or stitched (rather than having a spiral binding like a lot of notebooks today) and has black and white patterns (that is why it's called marbleized).
See a picture of the notebook at the following address: http://blog.landofnod.com/honest-to-nod/2012/08/chalkboard-notebooks.html

That's really strange wording... "bound" means that the pages are held together like a book. But marbleized normally means something is mixed together to look like marble stone, like a marble cake or something. I've never heard or seen "marbleized" used to refer to a notebook...

Hi mog1mog,
In the U.S., a marbleized notebook is a type of notebook we use. The design of the back and front cover is black and white and it looks a little like marble. Please do a google image search for "marble composition book" and you can see what I mean.
Bound means that the pages are stuck together like a book. You cannot rip out each page neatly, such as in a spiral notebook. You can also google "spiral notebook" to see the difference.
Hope this helps. :)
