“My daughter, Mary, tries to ____ to see me at least once a week,” Mrs Jones told the social worker.
A. call up
B. go up
C. drop in
Note: My choice is A because I think people usually call before they visit someone. What is your choice and why, thanks.

It's actually C. "Drop in" This is an idiom English speakers say. It's a casual visit. Perhaps unplanned or as a surprise. "Drop in and see me sometime." "I don't want to just drop in on them unannounced."
