搂，口语化，比较随意。
拥抱，正式和文雅一些。
词义方面：
搂，可以是随意的把一只手臂搭在另一个人（或物体）上，例如，搭在另一个人的肩上或身体上；也可以是双臂环绕着另一个人（或物体）。
拥抱，一定是双臂环绕着另一个人（或物体），而且它比“搂”更倾向于紧密的距离。

摟 is more informal , more coloqual, more casual,
擁抱 is more advance word, and formal.

maybe there are no specific differences between 搂 and 抱 ，but the former is more used in informal situations while the latter is more used in formal conditions .They all mean hug .
