what's the difference between ''vorname'', ''nachname'' and ''name''?

Vorname = first name (prenome/nome próprio)
Nachname = family name (sobrenome)
Name = name (nome)

If someone asks for your name (=Name), he expects you to tell him your family name / surname (=Familienname / Nachnahme)
