When do you use sugiero vs. sugiera?
I found this example
"Sugiera que visiten algunas aldeas en las montañas."
Is this example correct? When making a suggestion are you always going to use the subjunctive tense?

Good question Mike, let´s hope you can make sense out of my explanation :)
When using the verb "sugiero" you are using the regular present tense--- "(Yo) Sugiero que te pongas una camisa" - I suggest that you put on a shirt..... And you can conjugate that normally with the other pronouns in the present tense, (you can always check a conjugation chart).
Now, when you use "sugiera" you´re using the "subjuntivo". I´ll give you an example:
"Voy a ver la película que Roger Ebert sugiera" - I´m going to watch the movie suggested by Roger Ebert or I´m going to watch the movie that Roger Ebert will suggest (which sounds a little funny to me). And of course, you have to learn the Spanish conjugation for the subjunctive form.
This chart might make it clearer for you: http://conjugador.reverso.net/conjugacion-espanol-verbo-sugerir.html
Anyway, my explanation may be a little convoluted but if you have more questions don´t hesitate to ask. Saludos.

I Mike, you use sugiera, when you are talking about third person you. And you use sugiero, when you are talking about by myself.
