Hi every one, I was wondering whats the difference between さくばん vsゆうべ. Dictionary says both means last night, are they identical and can be used interchangeably? Or is there any subtle nuance? Thank you all in advance

You can use both of them. But we are using さくや or きのう の よる a lot than さくばん. きのう の よる は・・・is commonly used most. It's sounds natural to talk even write. (We don't say like that much.) ( My great-grandmother was gone last night. She was 100 years old.) = not so bad if you use =It's a best. So, you can use さくばん/さくや when you need to speak like in a formal situation or business scenes. ^-^

PS. So さくばん/さくや are like "Someboy and Someone".
