Could anyone help me to answer this question, please? If someone apologize, and you reply "I'm afraid that I can't accept your apology...need more than just words to feel better." I'm going to have a presentation about apology response strategies, there is an apology response strategies Rejection, and Non-apology "Sorry" is a sub-strategy under rejection for example "Sorry, I can’t forgive you" I want to ask you can "Sorry, I can’t forgive you" be ranked as Non-apology "Sorry" sub-strategy. Thank you very much. Your answer will help me a lot.

"I'm sorry I can't accept your apology, I need more than just words to feel better about this." I'm not sure if that's what you wanted, but it's a grammatically correct sentence I could imagine someone using in a real situation.

That's some pretty in depth language that you are learning. I am not sure that I understand it from an academic stand point but, from a native speaker's prespective, "Sorry, I can't forgive you" is an outright rejection of someone's apology. Good luck with your work!
