What is tokane?
In my audio course a girl was using all the time "tokane?". She used it when examples were given and I thought maybe it is like "sou desu ne?". I am not sure, I could not find it in the dictionary, so that is why I am asking you guys.

"Toka" means "etc" or "other stuff." And when you add "ne" (used when expressing agreement or when seeking agreement from others) to "toka" and use it at the end of a word or a sentence, it means something like, "blah blah blah etc, you know?" or "or stuff like that, you know?"
Example: If you're not careful with your money, you know, you could end up in big trouble --> Okane toka ne, kichinto tsukawanaito taihenna koto ni naruyo.
But when used at the beginning of a sentence that follows a sentence that has provided background insight, "toka ne" can mean, "Also."

It's possible that this is a combination of "toka" and "ne." It seems you already know "ne" from "sou desu ne" but "toka" is a word that means "etc." or "and other stuff."
Can you remember one of the full sentences that she said?
