Hello, I am Chinese, I also like Korean wave, perhaps Asian people better understand this way of name, but I think, don't tangle in this, it's just a name.Name of a way in China is similar to South Korea, you say this 초아 , open to see, according to the Chinese translation, one is 'at the beginning of' or 'a grass' , one is 'elegant' or 'moths', it‘s hard to translate its meaning, but when parents give names certainly is with great hope, so you just know that her name is good,it is enough,don't tangle in this.^_^

Most of Korean names mean something. Sometimes each syllable of names also have a particular meaning becuase the syllable( a word) is derived from the Chinese letter. so the combination of each words can mean something. However, there are names which can't translate like that way. Because that names or words are pure Korean words. So syllable doesn't have a meaning. In this case, whole word '초아' have a meaning. and the meaning is not a combination of each syllable like 초+아 '초아' means a person who is like a candle. A candle burns its body so it lights surroundings. so it means a person who brighten the world by sacrificing themselves.

저도 초아 좋아해요! I don't think that when a korean person call a korean girl that is called 하나, that person is thinking about the number 1. It will be weird. (하나 means 1) P.S.: My first sentence wasn't a joke. I really like Cho A and of course AOA :)
