What's the difference between 얘기 and 이야기 ????
I hear 이야기하다 is to chat. And I've heard 얘기하다 Is talk. Are they interchangeable or not? What exactly is the difference and when and where should I uses each one?

They both mean the same thing but the second is just the shortened version that has been addapted by speach patterns of people ~ sometimes the second of the two is a mouthfull so people just started saying the first :)
