The British pronunation saying "can" and can't ? What is the difference and how do you distinguish between both? Thanks!

Can = the 'a' sound is like the 'a' in pan Can't = the 'a' sound is like the 'a' in car. I hope this helps!

It seems the "t" is all that there is to make it different. The same is true for American English. One is pronounced like "khaun" and the other as "khaunt."

As Leigh wrote, the vowel in "can't" is longer. We still pronounce the T, if you were wondering. Don't ever say "can't" with a short vowel in BE. It'll sound like you're swearing at the listener.

I've seen a video and there are many ways to pronounce them, but there's one that I find easy to memorize... it says that "Can" is pronounced a little bit shorter than "Can't"...
