This is a sentence taken from a Chinese course:
他感冒，他躺在床上。
What I knew is that 病 means "disease" and if I want to use that word, I may write that sentence as "我病了". I also know that "to fall ill"/"to get sick" is "生病", right?
In this sentence there is the word "感冒". It means to have got a cold, right? While 病 is a more general term for "disease"..躺 means "to lie down", right? 床 means "bed" and 上 means "above, on top", so it helps building the meaning of the sentence "he lies on bed". I know 床 means "bed", but there is also another word made of 2 characters that means "bed", can you help me to recall it?

"to fall ill"/"to get sick" is "生病" is right.√
"感冒"means catch cold.right √
"病"is a more general term for "disease".right √
and"床"means "bed",上 means "above,over, on top" right √
we often use "在床上" to express that there's something on the bed.
you can simply think that "上" is a word of direction.
here's some examples:
有一只泰迪熊在在床上.there's a teddy bear on bed.
他睡/躺/坐在床上.he sleep/lie/sit on bed.

Bongiorno, Fabio. Are you sure that sentence is taken from a Chinese course? It sounds weird cuz there is no logical conjunction to link the two parts of the sentence.
Bed is just 床, i can't recall a two-charactered word that means bed. There must be a mistake.
