"Behalt's für dich" Bedeutung?
I was listening to an audio in which a couple was quarrelling, and at some point one person said to another: "Behalt's für dich! Ich will deinen Quatsch gar nicht hören". So, is this phrase used as a polite way to tell somebody to shut up?

Means in this context 'Shut up' or 'I don't want to hear it'. It's more polite then a 'shut up!', still somehow rude.

In another context it can also mean "Keep it secret".

Ich muss dir was erzählen, aber bitte behalt's für dich.....
