If you're looking to learn Quebecois French, look for a language partner who speaks French and is from Canada. I guess, considering you aren't so interested in learning how to write, reading books won't be that useful to you. Perhaps you'd like to watch Quebec shows and listen to Quebec radio. Just to note: there are a few different accents in Quebec including a sort of slangy, "working class" sub-language called Joual that has become more common in public forums.
