Gli studenti o i nuovi studenti the plural definite article for 'studente' is 'gli' because the the singular one is 'lo' so 'gli studenti' is correct but if there's adjective, do you use definite article based on the adjective and change into 'I nuovi studenti' and not 'gli nuovi studenti'?

Altro esempio: l'albero, gli alberi I nuovi alberi, gli alberi nuovi, i vecchi alberi, gli alberi vecchi gli scuri (dark) alberi, gli alberi scuri. L'articolo cambia in dipendenza del termine che segue immediatamente dopo, e` una regola di grammatica, non di sintassi. E' difficile accorgersene (to realize that) in quanto in genere in italiano l'aggettivo e` dopo il sostantivo. Brava!
