口味很重 means someone like eating something very hot or very salty or very weird, for example, if u see ur friend eating a bug, u can say: 你口味 很/真 重. This expression can be used for other cases too. for example, ur ex-girlfriend is kind of weird, i see her photo, and i can say: "你口味 很/真 重." to you. why do i say this? maybe because ur ex-girlfriend is too ugly, maybe she is too fat, maybe she is too thin, maybe she is too old, maybe she is too much make-up etc.....anyway, i say this because i think she has one or more weird characteristics. just like u like eating something weird..... so if someone does something weird or likes something weird, u can say: 你口味 真/很 重。 ATTENTION: u can say this to ur best friend but do NOT say it to other people. if u say this to other people, they will think u r rude or even be angry.

我个人接触“口味重”这个说法的历史： 口味重 like/inclined to strong/rich taste（相反的意思的说法是：口味淡.... smooth/sweet taste，不如口味重常用）: 某人口味重，本来的意思是说这个人喜欢吃很咸的或者辣味大等刺激性较强的食物。这个用法仍然是普通用法。 后来，口味重被用来表示某人喜欢的色情作品（视频等）的等级，如果你喜欢harrrdcorrre, 那么你口味比喜欢softcorrrre的人重，如果你喜欢saaadism/maaaasochism, 那么你口味更重，如果你喜欢bestiality，OMG，你口味太重了！【表示这个意思也可以说“***喜欢重口味的”。这个意思一般不说“口味轻的”或“轻口味的”，除非为了对比】 再后来，意思又有延伸。如果你和同伴看到一个走路的女郎，你说“哇，好漂亮”！而你的同伴认为她并不漂亮，他可能会说：“哇，你口味好重”。【意思是，连这样的你都欣赏啊？】
