At the moment I am reading 'The picture of Dorian Gray' and I have just read these two sentences, which I do not understand.Could you please tell me their meaning? -'Trunks had to be carried down, and mufflers looked for' -'The lodging-house drudge bustled in and out' Thank you!

For the first one, a trunk is a form of luggage so I'm assuming there is some sort of moving going on. And mufflers are just scarves, so once again, I assume it's cold weather. For the second, 'the lodging house drudge'- the lodging house is the place in which they are staying, and the drudge is the labourer, servant or words to that effect. The sentence is referring to this person going in and out, probably due to the work he is meant to be doing. I hope I could help :)
