meaning of a sentence What does the last sentence mean in this paragraph? "Instead, Combs and the rest of the development team rebranded the project as Wireshark in mid-2006.Wireshark has grown dramatically in popularity, and its collaborative development team now boasts over 500 contributors. The program as it exists under the Ethereal name is no longer being developed." Does it mean that "this program is not developed under the trademark of Ethereal any more and is only developed under its new name Wireshark"? Thank you

To add a little to Michael's answer, here's what I think happened. In mid 2006, the development team started from a copy of the Ethereal project and started developing it in a new direction and called this new "branch" Wireshark. Both projects were developed separately for a while, but then work stopped on the Ethereal branch and only Wireshark was left as an active project.

Yes, you're right. I would just use the general word "brand" and not "trademark" unless the precise form of intellectual property is important in the context.
