好きのかい →好きなのかい? This expression is used by men. Women say just "好きなの?". It is also used by men nowadays. It means "Does it mean that you like me?" "好きですか?"(Do you like me?) and "好きなの/んですか"(Does it mean that you like me?) are different. "好きですか?"(Do you like me?) can be used as a first sentence. But "好きなの/んですか"(Does it mean that you like me?) is used after another sentence or situation like below. 男(a man): しょっちゅう メール くれるけど、おれの こと(が) 好きなのかい? You send me e-mails very often. Does it mean that you like me?

It thinks "な" falls out after ""好き". 好きのかい =好きなんですか? =好きなのですか? =好きなのかい? =好きなのか? =好きなの? =好き? The latter is more colloquial expression.

I think it's the same as 好きですか? But 好きですか? is formal.

Relatively sure this would translate as 'I'd like to meet,' or 'It would be nice to meet.' Some Japanese use 好き as a way to say love, but mostly it means 'Like.' 'Love' is more common with 大好き, or "daisuki."
