What dose "flip " mean?
In 2012, a 17-year-old girl in Monroe, Washington stole a three-month-old black Lab mix and then tried to flip the dog on Craigslist. The girl told the dog's owner that the puppy had "run away," even while she was posting a Craigslist advertisement that offered a "Great Dane" puppy for $250.

In this case "flip" means to buy something and then immediately resell it for more money.

Flip in that context means to sell for profit. So if you purchase something for $5 then you would be flipping it if you then sold it to someone else for $10. It's used primarily with real estate when someone buys a house to fix it up and sell it.
