he ran as fast as "he could" but he couldn't win the rice.Is it required two sentence for pattern as...as ?
Two sentences are not required for "as...as". It depends what you want to say. For example you can just say "he ran as fast as he could" or for example "Do it as soon as possible"

I think it should be : He ran as fast as possible (he could) but he couldn't win the race

he ran as fast as "he could" but he couldn't win the RACE. (a race is a contest to see who runs the fastest) I think the word was misspelled. .
