So I understand that in the Turkish alphabet there are two forms of I. One contains a dot and the other does not, both with different pronunciations. So in the case of gecer mi, is mi pronounced "me" or "muh"?

Hi Hara, you can use google translate to hear the exact pronunciation. 'Mi' pronounce as 'me'.

As far as I understand, the mı/mi issue depends on the preceding vowel.  "GeçEr", so "geçer mi?"  In comparison, for an "is there..?" question, you use "var mı?" because of the A in "var".
