Hi, it depends on what you are talking about. "Good" has several translations in Japanese. The basic examples are: よい / いい He is a good man. --> かれはよい / いいひとです。 おいしい / うまい This apple pie tastes good. --> このアップルパイはおいしいです。 *うまい sounds casual in this case, so we say このアップルパイはうまい。 じょうず / うまい Her Italian is good. かのじょのイタリアごはじょうず / うまいです。However, I would say かのじょはイタリアごがじょうず / うまいです。 *In this case, うまい isn't as casual as the one of "tastes good" but it's also more casual than じょうず. ”うまい” is "wonderful" or also used if something is tasty. ”いい” is probably what you're looking for.

I don't know if I understood you correctly but the word "good" in Japanese is "うまい" - "u ma i".
