The most proper translation would be like this:
I am trying - Estoy tratando (or "intentando" )
but failing - pero fallando
asi que será "Estoy tratando pero fallando."
Otra opción será: Estoy intentando pero no puedo - I am trying, but I can't.

The literal translation would, yo trato pero fallo, but you can say, trato pero no puedo.
