what does "퍼주" mean? in this sentence: 난 누구든 내게 감사하지 않거나 내가 한 만큼 하지 않는 사람들에게 다 퍼주는 일은 더 이상 하지 않을꺼야. the translation posted alongside the sentence is: "I am not going to keep going all out for anyone who doesn't appreciate it and won't do the same for me." i guess im just having a hard time figuring out how 다 퍼주는 일 translates to "going all out for" the only meaning I could find for 퍼주 was "scoop" or "ladle" but it doesn't seem to fit the translation.

"난 누구든 내게 감사하지 않거나 내가 한 만큼 하지 않는 사람들에게 다 퍼주는 일은 더 이상 하지 않을꺼야." ("... 않을 거야" is the correct spelling) "다 퍼주는" means "giving away all". 다 is an adverb meaning "all", and 퍼주다 comes from "퍼서 주다", where the root form of 퍼서 is 푸다 (scoop, ladle, dip, bail). 퍼주다 means giving generously to someone to help the person. In the old days women commonly scooped rice from one's rice container to give to a neighbor who came to borrow some because she ran out or couldn't afford it - they literally did "퍼주다: scoop and give". "다 퍼주다" nowadays means giving too much to others too easily, usually referring to money or some other means of support. "다 퍼주는 일" is the noun phrase for that. So the sentence may be translated as: "I am not going to keep giving to no end anymore to people who don't appreciate it and won't do the same for me in return."

I like Mojave's answer. I can't confirm either. I'm sure it's idiomatic, and that's a logical train of thought he wrote. But we shall see!

I think 퍼주는 일 is made up of 푸다 + 주다 + -는 일. 푸다 means "to bail out" and when combined with 주다, it means "to bail out for someone", as in doing something "for" that person. And then -는 일 is the usual way to make a verb into a noun to be used in a sentence. Anyway, it's probably an idiom, but I could see twisting "to bail out for someone" into "to go all out", especially with the use of 다. Hopefully, a native can either confirm what I'm saying or explain the actual meaning. But thought I'd try to give you some info that might help. :)
