Japanese language has a variety of ways to describe "nevertheless". It all depends on the situation and context.
"It was very crowded, nevertheless, we had fun."
1) 「とても混んでたけど、楽しかった。」 ・・・Casual
2) 「とても混んでいましたが、楽しかったです。」・・・Written
3) 「とても混んでいましたけれど、楽しかったです。」・・・Written and formal
