Why doesn't italki develop a function
Why italki doesn't develop a function:
You can see who he/she is if somebody gives "Thumbs-up" to your answers or notebook entries.
You cannot see who he/she is if somebody gives ""Thumbs-down" to your answer or notebook entries.

Guess who gave you a thumbs-up….
Here’s your correction:
Why doesn't italki* develop a function:
You can see who it** is if somebody gives "Thumbs-up" to your answers or notebook entries.
You cannot see who it is if somebody gives ""Thumbs-down" to your answer or notebook entries.
Explanation:
*We use inversion (reversing the subject and helping verb) to ask direct questions). Alternatively, you might write something like “It would be nice for italki to”
**Strangely enough, English uses the neuter pronoun “it” when mentioning a person for the first time, before that person has been identified. (This is true in German, the Slavic languages, and French but not in the other Romance languages). On the other hand, if you start the sentence with “somebody,” then you should theoretically use the pronoun he / she. In reality, however, most people these days would use the plural pronoun “they” as a less cumbersome construction. Another alternative would be to say “people” instead of “someone,” thus allowing you to use the plural pronoun in a completely legitimate manner.
Example:
— Who is that?
— It’s my cousin. His (or her, depending on the biological gender of your cousin) name is _______.
Btw, this topic would probably work better as a discussion thread. Of course, if you really think it would be a good idea, [email protected] is always happy to hear suggestions from users.
