I don't understand the meaning
سلام عليكم
I have some difficulties understanding this sentence. They are talking about the معدان in the south of Iraq and the way they live there.
وضلوا مخلصين لطريقة عيشهم و محافظين على طبائع وصلت إليهم عبر آلف السنين
