lâcher = let go (off), release
Lâche ma main = Let go off my hand
laisser = leave/let
Laisse-moi voir = Let me see
Il faut laisser vos sacs ici = You have to leave your bags here
Lâcher could mean laisser tomber, but there's a small nuance.
"Lâcher" focuses on the action of removing your hands from something.
You just stop holding it, this doesn't mean it will necessarily fall.
"Laisser tomber" means "to let fall".

Au sens propre "lâcher" un objet et "laisser"( tomber)un objet signifient la « même* » chose, en le laissant (tomber) on le lâche, en le lâchant on le laisse (tomber).
Pour les nombreuses autres significations elles peuvent être très différentes cela dépend des associations qui peuvent être spécifiques à chacun.
"Lâcher prise" se dit laisser prise ne signifie rien et ne se dit pas. "Laisser une prise" peut avoir une signification suivant le contexte.
