How can I say in English "Te quiero" In Spanish, "Te quiero" is different to "Te amo", while in English, is the same "I love you" but I want to know if is possible to say "I want you" as "Te quiero" instead of "I love you". Here in Perú, for example, to brother, friend, or any person who we apreciate, we say "Te quiero" and not "Te amo", in general "Te amo" is used to say to couple romantic, also not at the begin of the relationship, we say "Te amo" only when we have a considerable time with the other person. In other words, "Te amo" is used to speciall person in our life, like a son, or mom, or couple. Thanks,

= I want you for that job. O te quiero de vuelta = I want you back.

You use "I love you" for both in English. The difference is in how you say it and the context. When I say "I love you" to my mom, she knows it's not romantic. For your friends, it's in how you say it.

Thanks, but how can I know if the other person understand the correct message of me? If I say I love you when the feeling is not intense, maybe the other persona could get a wrong impression.
