I can understand the phrase as a whole. But when I was looking for the meaning of the word 'gorda' in many Spanish-English dictionaries I could only find the definition of 'gordo' which means 'fat' or 'thick'. But it doesn't make sense. So what does 'gorda' really mean in the phrase 'hacer la vista gorda'?
