Can it be because Cristmas is soon?
An editor of a journal is not answering an email. It's been a third week. Can it be because everyone is thinking about the Cristmas already and don't want to work? What do you think?

Possibly but I would doubt it. If you have been trying for three weeks, that is a bit early to slow down at work before Christmas. Possibly try calling them instead of email, they may have a technology problem?
