Is the word embedded here used correctly?
My phrase is the following one:
"Traveling for me represented the possibility of remove some barriers embedded in my head and increase my knowledge about myself and others".
Thank you so much for your help :)
removing, increasing
I would probably use 'erected' We erect barriers. It's a common set phrase.
I would use 'embed' this way: "I had negative thoughts and personal prejudices embedded in my head." "Traveling represented an opportunity to remove these barriers to growth."
Good job

Hello,
Yes, the word can be used to mean "fix or retain (a thought, idea, etc) in the mind".
Well done!
