She was crying and balling, then she was serious, then all of a sudden she was crying (of a suspect confessing in court).

She was crying and bawling...
Bawling: weep or cry noisily.
It seems a little redundant.

Be careful about your spelling. Bawling means crying. Balling means having sex.
