Using "not" inside the "being able to" construction. Hello guys and girls! All i need to know at this moment is: why do i have to speak "Not being able to." I want to say: "Being not able to" How does it sound? What's wrong? "Being not able to drive a car, i went afoot" Is it ok? If not, tell me why?

No, it sounds weird. We would tend to say: "Not being able to drive, I went by foot." or just, "Since I can't drive, I walked." Note: "afoot" means something's happening or something's up, not "walking".
