"Yet" vs "even" “The light was passing through more glass and should have become yet more corrupted but…” Could I replace “yet” by “even” without changing the meaning of the sentence? Could you explain – in a perhaps simplified way – when to use “yet” and when to use “even” in a context described above. Thanks in advance. Paul

Wow, interesting question. You could easily swap 'yet' with 'even', no problem there, without changing the meaning. You would use yet when something is to happen into the future. When something is 'yet' to happen. Using 'Yet' is simply the more grammatically correct way of writing it. I hope that helps.
