What will be changed in meaning using ㄹ 까 or verb+지 when i am asking myself a question

For example,
1.오늘 뭐할까?
2.오늘 뭐하지?
is exactly same meaning. But, (1) is more suitable for asking other people's opinion.
(2) can be used by yourself, and it can be used with other people as well.
But basically, you can use both of them with yourself.
