Can anyone tell me why this isn't correct? Je déteste m'assieds. Tu cas te rases. Nous ne devons pas nous peignons en classe. The question was: Completex les phrases suivantes avec la bonne forme du verbe pronominal. je déteste ___________. ( s'asseoir) Tu vas __________ ( se raser) Nous ne devons pas ___________ en classe. (se peigner) Also in this context does se peigner still mean to comb your hair????? Thanks for the help, I'm a bit confused!!

Shahin correctly gave the answers in the infinitive. French follows the same pattern as English. We say "I shave myself" BUT NOT "I hate shave myself." Instead, we say "I hate SHAVING myself" French uses infinitive (raser) in most of the places where we use gerunds (shaving) Hope that helps.

je déteste m'assoir. ( s'asseoir) Tu vas te raser ( se raser) Nous ne devons pas nous peigner en classe. (se peigner) And yes this does still mean to comb one's self in french :)

When we use two verbs , we always use the infinitive form for the second one. The pronouns are right but you conjugated the second verb and we don't do that. Your sentences would be right if there was only one verb: - Je m'assieds - Tu te rases - Nous nous peignons. But in this case: - je déteste m'asseoir - Tu vas te raser - Nous devons nous peigner
