What is it called in English?
Hello, everyone.
What is the area in front of a cafe or restaurant where people sit to eat or drink called in English?
I mean the space outside the building.
Is it also called "patio" or sth?

Yes that is most commonly referred to as a patio if it simply the space outside the building on the sidewalk. If the space is separated somehow then it may be called a porch or even a terrace; although the latter is most often raised off the ground or on a rooftop. Enjoy your Spring time patio sitting!

Yes, or alternatively, "the outdoor seating area" is a more general way of putting it.
