Wonder the differences between just 'fight' and 'put up a fight'.

fight是打架或者吵架的意思
put up a fight 是个短语，可以理解成“try hard”
一般意味着最后还是失败（但不一定）
e.g. He didn't give up easily, he put up a good fight!
他没有轻易放弃，他尽力了

put up a fight means using skills or determination in a contest, competition or even a fight...
Example: They PUT UP a great fight but lost.
